Course Overview

This is an advanced two-day program that will cover new techniques and treatments for complex cervical spine pathology. The program will consist of didactic presentations from leaders in the field and will include an intensive hands-on cadaver lab under the guidance of expert faculty.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for surgeons with experience performing cervical spine surgeries for a minimum of 2 years. Prospective participants should be:

  • Proficient in performing one and two level anterior cervical discectomy and fusions.
  • Interested in incorporating more advanced surgical techniques into their practice.
  • Strong believers in the philosophies behind posterior fixation in the cervical spine.
  • Willing to explore new indications for cervical spine technologies and techniques.
  • Interested in sharing and discussing ideas, opinions and experiences related to cervical spine surgery.

Learning Objectives

After completing this program, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe treatments for complex cervical spine pathology.
  • Identify new techniques for treating complex cervical spine pathology as described by faculty.
  • Discuss new treatment ideas with peers.
  • Participate in group discussions.
